Adjusting the main column

HI all,

I haven't been able to find an obvious answer to this and it may be a good topic for the FAQs. I understand about sideboxes and figured out how to make them left or right (not sure what the one column bit is about).

however, I haven't figured out how I can make a sidebox a "main box". For example at the moment I have a side box for new products. However in many of the example shops this is a main panel rather than a sidebox.

How do I configure which "boxes" appear in the main (default or home) screen?

SOrry if this has been answered a million times, but I haven't found the answer yet!

Hi Iain,

The sideboxes and the modules in the center column are totally different things. If you want to have, say, a new products module in the main column of your web site, you can set it so in your admin -> configuration -> index listing :

Show New Products on Main Page

There are also other settings :

Show Featured Products on Main Page
Show Special Products on Main Page

...etc.
