There is a Sort Order on the Products that you can use to force a given Sort Order ...

i know that but the reason i use EP is to avoid having to tweak and fix ea and every product. follow? so i was hoping EP offered the possibility. is that a 'no', ajeh?
thanks either way for your try @ help :-)
Sorry ... missed the easy populate ... I don't use that add-on so I am not sure what all you can do with it but I would assume a field is a field and you should be able to add info to whatever field you need to in the product table ...
But you would best check with the author of the code or go through the threads related to that add-on ...

Does anyone know the answer? I uploaded easy populate yesterday...works great except for the sort order.
Is there an additional field we need to put in on the spreadsheet? When I downloaded my exisisting items and pulled it up in excel, I didn't see a column for the sort order.
I then uploaded a set of cards to my site via easy populate and instead of loading them in the card number order, it up loaded them in (I guess default) alphabetical order.
Some of my items are fine in abc order, but not the cards...
Thanks for your help.... Greg
