    Default MODEL Confusion ////

Hi each of my products have got there own unique item code.

For a football it be eg SP1000 which is fine

But when i come to Cricket gloves, the right pair have a different item code to the left....

How do i sort this out so that all my products have a 'model' and when invoice is created the model number is shown alongside the item name.

    Thanks

If your question is, "how do I have two model numbers for the same product, depending
on an attribute," the answer is, "create two separate products." Alternately you could
write software to dynamically determine the model number to be displayed - but this
seems like a lot of work when you could just create two separate products and be done
    with it.

    Good luck,

So the easiest way would be is to Create new products for each model number that i want?

Eg a Skipping rope in RED will have different model number to the same rope but in BLUE??

    Thanks

Whether it's the easiest way or not depends on the number of products for which this is an issue. You could also modify the software to dynamically create a SKU which reflects color, size, handed-ness, etc.
