What is the purpose of the "includes/extra_cart_actions" folder? Looks like it has an empty yet well structured HTML file in it. Is there some nice ZenCart feature here that I'm not aware of?

It is part of the extention of Zen Cart to allow customization of base code and adding additional functions

... in the same vein as templating (change the behavior in a way which makes tracking changes for upgrades more straightforward.)

It allows you to pre-process cart actions or to extend the functionality of existing cart actions, etc.
