Default Re: payment module page is NOT working

Okay, I am going to try and explain some other things that I have found out, and maybe it will help you to understand what is happening to my system.

So I just deleted and installed a clean version of these folders: /public_html/store/includes/modules/payment/ and /public_html/store/includes/languages/english/modules/payment

And THEN I uploaded the latest patch for PayPal.

So everything in those files should be perfectly untouched and working perfectly, BUT when I click on the Payment Module link in Admin, it works for a sec, but then when I click on one of the modules, it goes error.

So what I found is that whenever I upload or change the files and install patches, etc..it works for one minute, and then fails. Otherwise it just fails entirely.

I also found that when I changed the permission of includes/modules/payment to 766 instead of 755 I get this error:

Warning: is_dir(): Stat failed for /home/sleddog-admin/public_html/store/includes/modules/payment/. (errno=13 - Permission denied) in /home/sleddog-admin/public_html/store/admin/modules.php on line 162

But what is weird is when I change the permissions to 755 the Payment Module page opens, but without the modules listed, just these errors.

So this is all that I have found so far. Are there any other folders or files that I should install a clean version of, or is there something I need to check in the MySQL database?

    Thanks!

Is your server's errorlog available? Does it contain any errors about what's happening when you get the blank pages or the failed module pages ?

Do you know how I would be able to get ahold of the Server Error Log?

When I click on the link, right now all I get is either a blank page (on firefox) or Internet Explorer can't display the page.

You can usually view your server's errorlog by going to your hosting account control panel and selecting the appropriate option there.
Your hosting company should be able to help you find it.

Thanks DrByte. I will get those error logs and post them here for you to analyze. Have you ever seen a problem like this before? I am thinking it has something to do with my hoster, etc...

Am I going to need to get the database's blood work as well? Dr?

    LOL.

    Thanks,

    Christian

Okay, I got the help of my server (a dear friend of mine) and he fixed it -- mismatched files.

And thank you EVERYONE for your generous help. I really appreciate it.

    Cheerful trails,

    Christian
