I have B,E,N all enabled and in the Credit Card Verification I have N and S enabled.
All my international orders are coming in perfectly and so far no problems with fraud.

If I were you I'd definitely not accept credit cards from non-US banks. We Canadians are known to be extremely untrustworthy. As are the Australians, Japanese, French, Germans, Danes, ..., ... . And of course, no US-bank-issued-credit-card holder would ever consider committing fraud. That too is well known.
Rob
Your sarcasm is completely unnecessary.
Judging from your response to a very simple payment question (on an INFORMATION forum I may add...not a political commentary section) your sensitivity to the issue is quite revealing.
If you read on you would see that I had no problem changing the settings or handling international orders. But of course it's more fun to throw out an insinuation before actually reading the full content.
I am brand new to resale, ecommerce, etc. Chalk the question up to a nervous first-timer.
"Non US Card Issuing Bank" doesn't say "no NON-US Banks" entirely. It says "US Card ISSUING". Being that I see many international banking facilities here in the US maybe those would be considered US Card Issuing Banks as well. There could be a certain "partnership" between these institutions.
And for your information, the US has more stringent security checks for credit card usage. Some countries have vey little, so....without your assumption that I am racist or prejudiced, there IS a higher security risk by accepting those types of cards. Otherwise there wouldn't be such an option offered under the fraud protection area.
I NEVER said US banks would never commit fraud. This is about individuals who might commit fraud based on the inability for Authorize.net to access live the security check information per transaction.
And finally, not that I have to justify myself but maybe it will make you think twice before throwing out such attacks without knowing the situation.......... Not only have we done business internationally with no limitations but I am of Asian descent. Two pieces of evidence that lean toward the fact that I am most likely not racist.
Sorry to crush your redneck "stupid American" vision.
Unfortunately you were too eager to throw out an insult before actually engaging your brain.
You may want to repeat things to yourself before going public with them.![]()
And you didn't notice the smiley? The one that is named "smartalec"? The one that indicates I was engaging in irony for humourous effect rather than sarcasm for insulting effect?
Talk about shooting off without thinking.
Rob
It's amazing how people think smilies immediately exonerate the contents and insinuations in their posts.![]()
As we all know how sincere and "humorous" smilies can be!
(FYI If it's smilies that make the difference, I did use a smilie in my post as well but obviously my smilie doesn't count.)
Let's be honest, your underlying implication is that my question is purely based on my blind faith of American trustworthiness and lack of faith in the rest of the world.
Unfortunately your knowledge of how the credit check system works during a transaction is lacking if you think the decision is based purely on discrimination.
Not only are you NOT contributing anything constructive to this thread but your implication is very misleading to anyone who stumbles upon this thread hoping to glean some real information.
So consider it a zencart public service to set you straight.
You might be feeling pretty stupidabout your "unintended" insult but you would've been better off not responding at all instead of throwing out yet another insult.
By the way, did my use of smilies make my post more palatable?
How about this?
DARN! I would've used more smilies but we're limited to 7 per post. I guess they need to dampen the fun loving spirit of the posters.
I can see your mind is made up, so I won't bother continuing to try to convince you that I was just poking in fun.
Rob
Okay children ... play nice or I'll send you to bed without your supper.
BTW- This whole thread is off topic for Zen Cart anyway since AVS settings are made in the merchant account admin.

Actually, I just hold people to their word.
I'm also not one who understands this modern craze that it's funny to "poke fun" or mess with other people.
Yes my mind is made up. You were offensive and have no courtesy whatsoever to apologize for your insult whether it was intended or not and whether it was to just "poke fun" or not.
You even had to sling another insult in your second post (your third post doesn't have much of a redeeming factor either).
I obviously did not find any fun in your posts nor am I laughing at your brilliant attempt at humour. And despite what you may think, I have a very keen sense of humor and laugh often, your comment didn't even qualify for lame humor. Despite your attempt to spin it, your post was intended to ridicule me (my question anyway) as well as Americans in general.
Why mention American bank fraud in regards to a question of what setting works in Authorize.net? Why assume I think Americans are the only trustworthy ones on this planet from my question? You're even insinuation Authorize.net can have a discrimination setting merely for those people who want to "protect themselves" from all things non-American.
Believe it or not WORDS MEAN SOMETHING! Even what you may call a "joke".
If you don't have the courtesy to apologize for your "unintended" slight then at least have the courtesy to shut up.

Considering I started this thread an entire year ago and no one has had a problem with it being here up until Mr. Troublemaker showed up.
In fact, someone had recently referenced it to help with their problem so I'm thinking it was beneficial no matter where it was.
With all due respect, I think the problem is more about someone being allowed to ridicule my year old question (that was related to getting a zencart sponsored module working appropriately) than what section of the forum it was posted.
