Layout tables, same design throughout

I posted this in the other forum customization forum trying to find an answer that I need but so far no one has seen it yet. What I'm trying to do is insert tables to the background to accomodate design and emulate the design I did (joyeriasuny.com/prueba) I will deal with categories and sections letter, but for now what I want is the design to be exactly the same ie. table bgs to be the same throughout every page of the website, just as the background is the same. Thank you!


Thank you in advance for any help you can give me. I'm setting up a jewelry store and up 'til now I've come up with this design: http://www.joyeriasuny.com/prueba . It's simple but elegant and to the point. I plan to use that same design for a zen-cart store, the problem is I don't know how. So far I've been able to edit define_main_page, stylesheet, tpl_header and tpl_mainpage and I haven't been able to match original design. What do you suggest, and where do I insert the tables so that they're the same for every page that there is? In case you don't understand, I'm planning to use the same layout(the one I designed) for every page(including categories, shopping cart, etc., just as the background and header are the same) Thanks again!

Your design shows 2 equal columns under the head and you can attain this with the cart by eliminating one of the 3 that are available throught he admin > config > layoutsettings > and either right or left global.

While there set the remaining one to a width that will be half of the available space
This should get you on the correct track

Update: link connected and you do not need all the tables that you have entered if you follow what I have outlined

I set the width in the admin -> config -> layout settings to 0px for each column. I now have a wide space but I still haven't accomplished what I want to do. If you see joyeriasuny.com/prueba you'll see the same tables that are to the left and right of the main box of the shop, but to the left and right of the header.

Also, the header is separated from the content by a bit, I don't want any separation whatsoever, because I want the shop exactly like joyeriasuny.com/prueba.

Edit 1: BTW I also set the globals to 0 each. If you need me to make myself clear, what I want to do is a way to put those two tables right beside the header, and the content right below the header, without any obstruction.

Only set one to be off globally....and scrap your tables and work/design with in the cart structure that is mostly div based
