Category Link ?

I wonder if someone can help me, I have added an image to my template, which I want to link to a specific category, but I am not sure how to enter the link. If I enter as below, it does not work in all areas of the shop, so I wondered if there is a PHP code format?

index.php?main_page=index&cPath=7

Thank you for your reply, I have added a template and then added a link hotspot within an image on the headr of that template.

The link works fine within the non secure areas of the shop, it points to:

http://domain/eshop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=7

but when I go to the secure checkout areas it points to:

https://sharedsecurehosting/eshop/in...=index&cPath=7

the secure area path is wrong because it is missing the domain

https://sharedsecurehosting/MSSINGDO...=index&cPath=7

So, in my link the path is wrong but no matter what I enter it seems to point wrong in one part of the site or another.
