Documents General on Main Page

Hi

I want to be able to display my documents general in the central box on the main page. The most obvious way I can see of doing this would be for them to be listed as featured products (even though they are not for purchasing). However, i realise that documents general do not appear in the featured products list as standard. Does anyone know either how i can make them appear in the featured products list or whether there is any other solution.

Go to Admin->Catalog->Featured
In the sidebox, there is a text link that says "Product ID to be Manually Added as a Featured" ... click on it.
Type in the product ID number of the document product you want to be added to the Featured list and click Confirm.
Give it a date range & save.
Done.

Thank you for helping me. I've gone to Admin>Catalog>Featured but can't see any sidebox with a text link that says "Product ID to be Manually Added as a Featured". I also clicked New Product but still don't see it.

I did a search with the Developer's Tool Kit and found only one result with this text:
admin/includes/languages/english/featured.php
Line #57 : define('TEXT_INFO_MANUAL', 'Product ID to be Manually Added as a Featured');
Am i missing something?
