Cant assign products in media manager

I have a music site and I have successfully added 31 products and linked about 24 of them to mp3 files. Now the media manager seems to get lost when I try and assign a product to a collection name. Here are my steps.

1) Go to Extras/Media Manager
2) My collection is not shown on page 1 so I go to page 2
3) I select the collection name ("The Belly Dancer") by highlighting the selection.
4)"The Belly Dancer' panel appears showing the "Assign to Product" button. Linked clips: 1 Linked products: 0
5) I hit the "Assign to Product" button and the panel shows a drop down box allowing me to select the category and subcategory that the product is in.
6) After I make my selection, the screen reverts back to page 1.

I go back to "The Belly Dancer" on page 2 and there is no link to product. I will delete and re-enter page 2 to see if it works. In the meantime, HELP anyone?

I deleted all the collections in the media manager and then re-added them. Page 1 want fine. On page 2, I could add a media clip but I couldn't assign a clip to a product. Everything goes fine until I select a category from the drop down box. After checking with phpMyadmin, I found a that the value [media_id] in table [tfw_media_to_products] was always 0 so now I just manually enter an incremental value into [media_id] as a temporary work around. Does anyone have the same problem?

Observation:
After selecting an option from the drop down box

admin/media_manager.php?action=products&current_category_id=4&mID=6

there is no reference to a page number in the url and the screen always reverts back to page 1. Have I uncovered something? Can anyone duplicate this?
