Setting Up Categories

I need some guidance in setting up my categories. I sell diaper cakes. I have 4 categories of cakes ranging from mini to 4 tier. I added a category for each one and descriptions on each category page. When I added my first product my category description no longer shows up and I only see the product info on the category page.

I want to have be able to have all the product pictures & prices listed on that particular category page and then be able to click on the product to be taken to the product info page. Would I have to set up subcategories to acheive this?

Try adding more than one product...by default if there is only one Zen Cart by passes the description page and goes directly to the only product in that category

NOTE: this feature is changeable with a switch for those with Single Product Categories that for some reason feel the need to have the Product Listing still display ...

Skip 1-prod Categories
Skip single-product categories
If this option is set to True, then if the customer clicks on a link to a category which only contains a single item, then Zen Cart will take them directly to that product-page, rather than present them with another link to click in order to see the product.
Default: True
