JAM - getting started

I've installed the latest JAM and am using Zen 1.3.7.

There were no problems with the install and checkout-success footer over-ride.

But, now what? I feel like a moron...

I've created an account & program & commision in JAM, but am lost re how to proceed.

While the JAM site has volumious docs, I seem to be unable to find a walk-thru re creating a test account.

I want to create a link for an affiliate that they can put on their website.
If somebody clicks on that link, they would go to my zen-cart site. If they make a purchase, a commision pending would show up in the JAM admin.

Can somebody point me to the total-noob walk-thru, if it exists?

Maybe part of the problem is not getting the email...

I created a test affiliate, and set the primary email to my email addy.

I can see the Welcome Email template for the Program Name.

I can login using the test affiliate user name and pw, but I never received the Welcome Email.


also - I created and tested an address for 'system emails' via cpanel.

I can send and receive a 'mass mailing', so why not Welcome & Activation emails?


What am I missing?

did you check the SPAM folders, maybe it got filtered?

Part of the problem was that I used the admin panel to create the test account, so no emails got sent.

Using the affiliates page to create a test account solved a lot of problems.

And I appreciate all your help via the JAM forums.
