    Default Complete customer and order lost

    Hi all,

    A somewhat serious problem has occurred on the same client as another post I have mentioned. In this thread http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=71988

    I talked about some missing paypal data, which I am not sure if this is related to.

    Essentially, a new customer logged in, created a user account, submitted an order, and the transaction was completed. My client logged into the admin tool, processed the order, then it and the customer's records disappeared. The site is hosted on Dreamhost vps, and according to their tech support, there were no hardware nor software changes. There was a machine reboot, but they assured me that nothing should have changed. If anyone could shine some light on this, I would very much appreciate it. I've looked in the admin logs and not seen anything specific to this event unfortunately, are there any other logs I can look at? Thanks again.

    Does the order exist in the database? ... ie: the orders table ?

    Hi again DrByte,

    No the order was not saved, a new order 182( this was the original number) just showed up a day or so ago however. I'm not sure if the database was completely wiped out and a backup was used from a day before possibly, though Dreamhost has said this is not the case.

    It does sound like a database-restore.
    Either that or someone went into your admin and deleted both the customer and the order.

    I suspect your only option for recreating the order is to contact the customer.
