red flag Zone Rates using Zone Code & Country ISO Codes?

I understand that by default, Zone Rates are set using Country ISO Codes.

However, for my case here, I would need to have different rates for different Zones within my country, and yet maintain another rates for shipment to other countries.

I have tried to crack my head and look through the Zen Cart Support Forum for solution in setting up the shipping zones, but yet to no avail.

    My situation is as follows:
    1. I want to have free shipping for Order to be delivered to the Country: Malaysia, Zone: Federal Territory KL, Zone Code: FTKL
    2. Shipping to other zones within Malaysia to be varies depending on the zones, e.g Zone Code: MEL,KCH would have one shipping charges depending on weight, where as Zone Code: PEN, SBH would have another shipping charges depending on weight.
    3. I also need to have another shipping rate to other countries, e.g. Country: SG & BN sharing the same weight related rate, Counter: US, CA share another weight-shipping rate.

    How could I do this?

    Appreciate your prompt response...

    Cheers,

Yes, if I understand correctly my situation is very similar.

I basically need to have a flate rate shipping setup for USA (one zone) and 2 table rate shipping options set up for all of Canada (the other zone) for Expedited vs. Xpresspost shipping.

I think it should be possible to set up the flat rate for zone A and the table rate for Zone B, but how do I do the two different table rates within the same zone?

    Is it possible?

Would installing the Canada Post shipping module make this any easier?

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

If you go to admin > locations/taxes > zones > and view the ones for Austrailia and there are 8 - then you will also see that there are none for Malaysia.

You need to select new zone and create one for each region in Malaysia to start.
Then in zone definitions you will be able to setup different zones with the regions that belong to this zone
