    Default PayPal Payments Pro compatablity ?

    I recently connected a zenCart installation to PayPal Payments Standard, and after the usual head banging , got it to work.

    I am looking at doing a second cart, but this time am thinking of using PayPal Payment Pro to be able to compare the two methods. When I go to the PayPal site and check compatablity zenCart is not listed as one of the compatable shopping carts.

    Is this an oversight of some kind, or is there something so different between the two PayPal services that zenCart is not compatable with the Pro service?

    Thanks for any hints in advance

    A forum search on "Paypal Pro" will yield a detailed thread on this.

    Thanks for the responses, I can live with PayPal standard, just wanted the extras from PayPal Pro.

    The idea of a release of 1.3.8 is kinda like watching your mother in-law back your new car over a cliff.

    Really mixed feelinigs, would almost rather do a new install than an up grade, and of course there are always the mods

    <deep sigh>

    Is there a time frame for this release? I need it for a client and don't want to have to write it if possible.

    lighcubed: The time frame is said to be soon, no more details are available. Perhaps your client could use Paypal 2.0 which is essentially Pro, except it uses the old verisign stuff.

    The Zen Cart team don't provide release schedules. They only release new versions when they are confident that they are ready.

    Download the direct payment module from postosc.com and modify it to use signatures instead of certificates, and, they will get their wish. Then, replace it when 1.3.8 comes out with the official supported Zen Cart module.

    Much easier to modify a module that write it.
