getting old database into new cart

Ok, I need to know the easiest way to do this;

I need to get the database from a 1.2 6d cart into my new 1.3.7 cart on a new server.

On the new cart they installed easy populate but I don't know if that helps because I also need the customers and orders etc.

Surely there is a way to just get the data from the old database into the new one.

The upgrade process, which is documented in the /docs folder of your Zen Cart files, explains how to bring the database forward with your upgraded set of files.
