Disappearing Attributes Order Designations

I have carefully set the order I want attributes to appear for each product. However, I just discovered that they have all been reset to 0!

I loath to reset them one by one only to have it happen again for an unknown reason.

I saw a thread or two about Default Order and the Options Value area, but this seems different. Note that none of my attributes have a set order in the Options Value section. I purposefully never set them because I want them to simply show as alphabetical as is the default if no order is set.

I do want them to have an order when on the page for the customer though. So I set that order in the Attributes Controller on a per product basis.

Oh dung. The problem is in the Admin section Tools -> Store Manager.

to match Option Value Default Sort Orders:

I tested by resetting a few attributes and then clicking this UPDATE button. Sho'nuff it reset those attributes again to 0.

I don't really remember clicking this at some point but probably did as I'm a new zenner and am learning the ropes by doing.

FAIR WARNING TO NOOBS LIKE ME: Don't click this button unless your attributes are properly set in the Option Value Manager (... just like the, er, text next to the button, um, clearly says... :).

The Rest is designed for when you use the Default Sort Order on the Option Values ...

These can most easily be set in the Option Values Sorter ...

Pick an Option Name and hit Edit ...

Add your Sort Order and Hit Update ...

Then run that Updater and it will set all attributes on your site to the default orders ...
