Default Problems with secure log in & images

    Hi All,
I've searched through the forums for an answer to my question, but haven't found anything on my situation, so I'm hoping someone can help! I recently added images as header links in my cart. Got those to display properly with the help of fellow forum users (Thx again btw). Now when I try to log in as a customer I got the message about the page having secure & non secure items. Determined it was my image links. (didn't get this error before putting them in, and they didn't show when I said not to display non secure items.) I found in the faq's that it was the hard coding on them, so I removed all the http coding before the images, and now when I try to log-in I don't get the non secure items message anymore, but all my images are gone (get the box with the red x). What do I do to get the images to show and the page be secure? I tried to code them with an https, but that didn't work. Am I doing something wrong? Is there another page I need to edit? Is it possible to have the image links on my log-in page (I really want 'em - they're the basic nav buttons for my site!) Can anyone help? My cart is at http://www.eyecandey.com/cart/index.php
I also get that box about my certificate being in another name, but I think that's due to my shared cert, which I intend to upgrade to a dedicated one soon. One step forward, two steps back ya know! Any advice at all is greatly appreciated. Thanks,

    Buffalogal

I would just get a private cert now and deal with this once, if there is any requirement(there should not be) over setting it up for the shared now and then having to reset (go back to square one) later....a single root cert is only about $12 usd/year which should provide the necessary assurance

Do you think this may be the problem with my log in page? I wasn't getting the non secure items warning before I added those images into the header, just the warning about the cert. Thanks for the advice!

You can check with your host as each has specific requirements for how they share the SSL, you might have to copy parts of your site to a secure area that they provide (like images & others), and what I consider a pain....but this is up to you.

Just wanted to check back in and say that I have gotten this issue corrected. I followed Kobra's advice and got a secure ssl and after installing it, I no longer get the warning about non secure items, and all of my images are showing properly with no further modifications. Just wanted to share in case anyone else had this problem and to say a big thanks to Kobra...you rock!
