Default Again upgrade from php4 to php5 problems

Hi all, I checked many posts about this upgrade but nothing relevant to my problem.
I just changed provider so I have to move zen-cart 1.3.7. from php4.x to php 5.1.6, Also MySQL from 4.x to 5.x. On old hosting it runs on Apache 1.x now on Apache 2.

The problem is that no form fields are working - nobody cann't log in (admin/user), nothing could be add to shopping basket and when using contact us form, nothing is sent only warnings that fields are not filled in...

I tested that session are working correctly, connection to DB works (products are shown). The url is www.kvalitniautosedacky.cz but as I changed DNS records yesterday it is not working from all sites now (from US it is still linked to old pages).. And also this site is not in english ;-)

    Any idea is highly appreciated!

Finally I find the solution . It is really hidden so I will share it to save time for others ;-)

The problem was in HTTP_SERVER resp HTTPS_SERVER settings in config files.

Both forms - www.<domain> and <domain> are functional but on the new hosting the <domain> form is automaticaly rewrited to www.<domain>. So when I have HTTP_SERVER set without www forms were not functional. When I changed it to www.<domain> form everything works fine...

    Bug or feature? Who knows

That's one reason why the FAQ discussing how to move from one server to another suggests installing a fresh copy of ZC on the new server, preserving the configure.php files it creates, and then restoring the files from your other server, except the configure.php files.
It makes the task a lot simpler from the start.

Glad you figured it out !
