I have products that use checkbox attribute options. Some have numerous options available. I'm unable to create an empty spacer between attributes to separate them visually without having a checkbox on that line as well.
In other words, I can create an empty Option Value that can be inserted among the other valid attribute options for a product, but that means I have to have a selectable blank option there.
EXAMPLE PRODUCT
As an extreme example at my site, I have one product that has 10 attribute options available. They can be easily be divided into Large and Small groups to make it easier to read by the customer. I would like a full empty line of space between these two groups to visually separate them. See the page here:

Since having a blank checkbox is silly and confusing, I'm wondering if there's another way.
WHAT I TRIED
I tried to create a "Read-Only" Option Name as well as a "Text" option in the hopes that could either be inserted in the mid way point of the 10 options (with a blank Option Value to accompany it). This does create a line of empty space.
However, both of these "Read-Only" and "Text" Option Names could not be inserted among the valid product checkbox options. They defaulted to below the checkbox options and were therefore useless as a separator among them.
Any ideas on how to create an empty line of space between attribute checkbox options sans the checkbox on the separator line?
