ckosloff is right about the blank sidebox. The Admin Editable sidebox was intended primarily as a way of adding HTML content via the define pages editor. For adding custom content other ways, the blank sidebox offers a cleaner start and more guidance.

There are no incompatibilitioes between Zen Cart and javascript. Indeed Zen Cart uses javascript and has a sophisticated mechanism for loading it. There's a readme file about it int he docs folder that comes with the Zen Cart release package.

Where problems do sometimes occur they appear to be more about issues integrating javascript directly into php code. This is tricky and not an approach that I would recommend. Better to load it using the Zen Cart mechanism provided and mingle only calls to the functions loaded with the other code.

    @kuroi,
I solved the incompatibility issue of that javascript by putting it in an html page and linking to it with an iframe.
I know it's not in a sidebox now, it is in the main page, but even there, it was breaking the site without the iframe, possibly because of the other javascript running on that page.
I know it is a bad script, there are lots of things that I need to polish, but, what the heck, it works for now.
I think this iframe concept could solve a lot of problems, I'll try to work in putting a slideshow in there, maybe a parallel development to what misty is doing.

Does this work in version 1.3.8a or do I need to download something else instead?

    Hi Kuroi
I try to install the Dynamic Sideboxes in your module blank_sidebox
In your mdule only I can put one image, I donīt know how put more and show ramdom.

I seek in the forum a support of the Dynamic Sideboxes module, but the comments are shortly.

This is the url of Dynamic Sideboxes
    http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=232

Maybe you can helpme with this module to complement the option that I need.

    Thanks

I bet Kuroi won't like this unholy mix, and will send you to the other mod's support thread, if they have any.
    I would.
However that would be his call.
What I can suggest is some posts earlier: try using an <iframe>, that's an HTML tag that editable sidebox should have no problem with.
In the frame you can put any script you like for slideshow.
Since it will be running on a separate page there should be no conflicts.
You will have to customize dimensions, etc. of your script.

This is the support thread for the Admin-Editable sidebox. The blank sidebox mod has it's own support thread. Please don't cross-post between them, as it will cause confusion.
