Different Paypal modules // what the difference ?

I see there are multiple ways to receive paypal, paypal, paypal express, paypal IPN

can somebody explain to me the difference and what is the best one to use ?

The different modules reflect different Paypal services. The best place to see them explained and see video demonstrations is the Paypal site for whichever country you are based in.

P.S. Confuses me sometimes too, not helped by the services having slightly different names in different countries.
