I am getting confused about zones?

I have to set up shipping rates for each state of Australia using Australia Post costs and for four other zones.

ZONE A, NEW ZEALAND


ZONE B ASIA PACIFIC JAPAN KOREA MALAYA THAILAND

ZONE C USA , CANADA AND MIDDLE EAST

ZONE D UK, ALL EUROPEAN COUNTRIES

Has anyone got the breakdown of what codes these are and do I have to have australia post module plus shipping zones or does the Aust Post Mod do it all?
I have uninstalled the Aust Post mod as I was getting an error.

Does anyone have the actual weight figures for posting from Vic Australia that I could just paste into the zone boxes and would save me mountains of time with each weight/$ variable?

I am so not looking forward to this chore

You state that you set these up...

Did you also setup the AU as a zone?

When doing so did you first create it in zone definitions and then select this and in the right box select Details and then insert and then from country drop Austraila and the zone drop one of the states and repeat for each state?

The above is similiar to include all other areas in their own zone definition

The Austpost (improved) shipping module does it all. The zone files are not used, only the the shipping destination country is relevent.
