    Default Template upload through cpanel?

    O.K. don't kill me, too tired to read any more posts!

    I have successfully uploaded Pure_Black template with no problems on 2 domains (or future zen cart stores). Both times I used my cpanel file manager, and uploaded the files like so;

    public_html/mydomain/includes/templates

    Note: i did note set an extension, as the zc store is my domain address.

    I upload the template in a .zip, extracted, then disposed of the .zip packaging. This has worked several times. But tonight, I tried to do this with Cherry_Zen (3x) and did not work. I then tried 2x with Pure_Black, again did not work. I tried the exact same process with Bare_Bones template and it worked!

    Only prob is, I don't want Bare_Bones template. Anyone know what might be causing this. Honestly, I suck at using ftp client, and almost every tutorial uploads using ftp client.

    Also, now that I can see Bare_Bones in my zen edit options, can I have more than 2 templates there? or do I need to remove the Bare Bones to attempt trying another template.

    I'm sorry so long, just frustrated. HELP!

    Thanks,

    -art

    You can have as many template options in ZC as you want -

    Do you see the Cherry_Zen & Pure_Black templates as options in your ZC Admin Template Selection dropdown?

    While I upload and extract the Zencart installation zip file on the server, I usually don't do so with mods or templates, just in case I missed something in the template package that might cause problems, like a folder that needs to be renamed. Better, I think, to unzip locally and then upload.

    This: public_html/mydomain/includes/templates should not have worked for the Cherry_Zen template previously. Most mods and templates have the files and folders already in their proper places in a directory 'tree', and need to be uploaded (or extracted) to the root (top) directory of your store. The Bare Bones template author chose not to do that, so it would properly be uploaded to includes/templates.

    What you wat to end up with is an includes/templates/cherry_zen folder which contains (among other things), a file named template_info.php.
