Manufacturers Info Sidebox

In the basic configuration, the Manufacturers Info Sidebox shows up only when you are on a product info page. Is there a way to make the Manufacturers Info Sidebox show up when you select a manufacturer in the Manufacturers Sidebox?


Because all products in the list are from the same manufacturer, a Manufacturers Info Sidebox would make sense.....

My first guess is, that I would have to modify "manufacturer_info.php". and some list template.

You'll have to write custom code to do that.

/includes/modules/sideboxes/YOURTEMPLATE/manufacturer_info.php

presently it only checks to see if a products_id has been set, and then auto-selects that product's manufacturer to display the box after retrieving the details of that manufacturer.

You'd have to alter that logic to detect whether a manufacturers_id has been selected, and use a different database query to retrieve the manufacturer data so that it can be displayed using the same sidebox template.
