Removing a single category from main navigation

Hi there,

I want to remove an item from the main navigation. Its more of a freebie item and not related to the main products.

Is it possible to hide the item in the navigation so i can link to it from other parts of the site?

I have it set up with one product in each category, so im looking to remove the category if that helps.
