    Default Safari/IE Rendering Problems

    Hey guys,

A ZC site that i've been working on has been having a rendering problem that I cannot fix for the life of me. A screenshot is attached of the problem, it conveys what I'm up against far better than words ever could. In Firefox, everything works just fine (left), but in Safari or IE, it looks like the picture on the right.

Any ideas? The URL for the store is http://ns1.webmasters.com/*tinceilin...tpdocs/new137/

    Thanks in advance!

    Mike

Your display issues are caused by the table for the center wrapper. The table does not close until after right column.

    <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" id="contentMainWrapper">

    then <td class="columnRight" id="navColumnTwo" style="width: 150px">
    then <div id="navColumnTwoWrapper" style="width: 150px">
    then <td class="FarRight"></td>
    then <td class="RightBottom" align="right" height="26px" >
Then here is your table close tag </table>

What version Zen Cart is this?

The latest version is without tables so by adding a table for your added center content should be the only place the table format is used. It should not have been included into the right column.

    Who did the customizations?

... almost. there is one table in the main section that contains the left, right and center columns.

Thanks, guys. I'm not going to name names, but we did hire a professional coder that we found through these forums to design the site. Unfortunately, he stopped communicating with us right after we sent him his payment. Now we're just trying to get things running smoothly again. I know some php and have a decent hold on html, so this has been quite the learning experience.

I hate to let my naivete show, but I looked and I looked and I still have no clue whatsoever in which file to close the table tag. Can anyone offer some insight into this?

Thanks again, you guys have been extremely helpful.

Don't know for sure but look in your template folder and then templates/tpl_index_default.php and if it isn't there look in includes languages /english/your-template/html_includes. The latter can be accessed by admin and define pages editor. After you close that table for the center column you will need to find the code for the right column and add the beginning table for that............

There is just no way for us to know how he, she modified that code.

I too am going crazy with IE rendering.

On my site the Home, Log In, Shopping Cart & Checkout links.. all look great in Mozilla Browsers (Firefox, SeaMonkey, Netscape).

But for some crazy reason these links (#navMainWrapper) look terrible in Inter Explorer. They are lighter in color.. off a little and generally much uglier.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix this??

Here's a link to my site:
    http://www/omegadigitalvoice.com/zencart

Basically what I'm trying to do is make these links look as similar as possible to the links on the main site http://www.omegadigitalvoice.com

Any idea what needs to be done to correct this??

    Any help is greatly appreciated,

    Rich
