Help-- main product catagory pages contain main_page text too

I don't know what happened! this didn't happen earlier today. When I click on any of my catagories in my catalogue side box that have subcatagories, it shows the main page text first then the catagory text. It isn't in the subcatagory pages just the main ones. Very weird. you can see what I mean here -- http://www.gypsyrosetreasures.com -- and click on any of the main catagories in the catalogue side box.

I tried to restore a back up I had on file but it didn't do any good. It does it on the back up too. and this is frustrating me to beat heaven as I don't see any differenences in the php pages anywhere.

If anyone can help I would be much obliged.

Check the Product Listing setting for:

Show SubCategories on Main Page while navigating
Show Sub-Categories on Main Page while navigating through Categories

0= off
1= on

I checked my Product Listing setting and it is at 1

I changed it to 0 and got the same results as what is with 1.

I DON"T want the main page text to show up with the catalogue pages. and apparently changing the settings that you suggested to look at aren't making a difference either way.

Again, if someone could help explain to me why the main page text is showing up on every main catagory page in my catalogue sidebox, I would be very happy. I will be even happier if someone can help me fix this problem. You can see what I mean at http://www.gypsyrosetreasures.com and click on any of the catagories in the catalogue side box. when it goes to that page you will see the main page text first, than the catagory information. but it is not like that when you click on the subcatagories.

Change to the Classic Template ...

When you hit a Top Level Category does it now show the subcategories in the middle?

Yesterday when I would go to my website and click on say Ceramic Sensations (first catagory in my catalogue side box) it showed ONLY that catagory's text. This evening, when I click on that same catagory, it shows ALL the main page text from the HOME page THEN it has the catagory's text. I don't want the main page text there. All my subcatagories are fine. they do NOT have the main page text at all --- which is what I want also for my main catagory pages

And I am already in the classic template. and My custom template is set up correctly. have no idea what that is but that is an entirely different problem of which I am NOT going to deal with today.

Hello,

I had a simular issue, its because i installed FAQ mod, to get it all working i removed the folder open-operations/faq_aplication_top.php, that was causing the issue.
