Payment (receiving)

I'm new to creating an on0line shop.

I have just about got the site how I want it looking, with a few "test" items to do dummy runs to the checkouts!

Now I'm getting nearer the point where I need to think about payments. How do I receive payments to my bank account or PayPal account? I see at the moment when I do a dummy run, the only option is to pay by card. How do I get an option to pay by PayPal?

Do I need to download something, or is something I need to change within the admin settings?

Help would be appreciated!

Have you bought the e-Start Book? You really do need it.

Here's a hint... look in the admin...

You set up your payment options in admin. Select MODULES->PAYMENT and activate whichever methods you plan to accept.

There's a lot more you need to know and do if accepting anything other than Checks, Money Orders or C.O.D.

Credit Card services and Paypal have specific requirements such as special passwords and tokens, etc. that you will need. Go ahead and click the "Action" button beside these services and the information you will need to gather to activate the service will appear on the right side of your screen. If you already have a Paypal account, start with the PayPal IPN. It will start to make sense after you get into it awhile.

cheers bud. will speak to my client, may just be easier for the time being to set it up so can only pay by PayPal or cheque
