Default Declined Transaction orders stock being subtracted -- using PROTX module

    Hi

I'm having a problem with a 1.3.7 zencart and the Protx module. We think we may have had a couple of criminal transactions on the site?

We use Protx direct to authorise the credit card transactions on the site.

Usually if a transaction is declined the order doesn't go any further but sometimes zencart displays the order as "The Authorisation was Declined by the bank." and the stock levels (from the order) are reduced. We then have a "pending order" and have to manually update the stock levels for the products in the order.

Shouldn't stock levels be automatically increased if we delete the order?

I'm not sure if there's a security issue here or a bug or just me missing something obvious in the setup?

    Many thanks
    Paul

If Zen Cart generates an order, stock will be adjusted.
If the payment module refuses the payment and also does *not* create an order ... not even a pending order ... then stock will not be affected.

You may have to alter the payment module to have it *not* create an order if payment fails to be accepted properly.

Under no circumstances will the Protx Direct module create an order if the payment was refused! :)

I'm not sure what exactly is happening but please get in contact with me at the following URL and I'll do what I can to help you. Please don't forget to send the version number of the module you are using:
