    Default Commission Junction Links

Hello Im trying to use some code that PETCO provides inside the commission junction members area but I am not sure how Zen Cart can display those correctly.

    EX:

    HTML Code:
    <a href="http://www.tkqlhce.com/click-248-556-10414568?cm_mmc=CJ-_-2102903-_-248-556-_-120x90%20Seasonal%20Specials%20(spec3)" target="_top">
    <img src="http://www.tqlkg.com/image-248-556-10414568" width="120" height="90" alt="Special offers at PETCO.com Shop Now! " border="0"/></a>
    Any help would be appreciated

Put it as HTML into a banner (Admin->Tools->Banner Manager), then turn on the banner sidebox, and it should appear in rotation with any other banners you have.

Thank you, this is a start

I am also willing to know if there is any way to create a product that display the HTML code instead of the standard zencart options.

I didn't expect answer so fast this seems to be a great forum...

Please explain further -- what exactly are you wanting to do?

Zen Cart is an ecommerce system, intended to sell products and collect payment on orders placed by customers. Are you trying to set up an affiliate-only shop instead?

I mean, displaying the html of the commission junction, and not having any option for adding the product to cart since a link to other website is placed with this code.

This is what I am doing:

I created a Document - General Type product, since those don't use the cart , and place the html code on the description.

Commission Junction have some different version of the code, (at least with PETCO):

    1. A form (product pic, text and a botton for buy)

    2. a Text link (there is an image of 1x1 pixel that must be placed)

    and

    3. Product Image link (and also a 1x1 px image)

So Im pasting the description, uploading the product image and using the text link (option 2).

Finally There was a "No image available" picture maybe because I used a document - general product type, so I edited the picture.

As you can see I am just learning how to use the store, but this solution seems to work.

    Thanks for your help.

The Document-general approach is probably most suitable for what you're trying to accomplish.

    I'm using Zen Cart 1.3.8a.

I'm trying to add the commission junction code that provides a product picture, information, and the buy button. Oddly during preview mode the buy button links to the store. But when I fully update the page, the buy button from commission junction links directly into my cart. Does anybody know why this is doing this?

Commission Junction didn't have an answer.

So right now I've got two buy buttons on my page. One that's supposed to be for my zencart (which I need to figure out how to remove for the commission junction products) and one that's supposed to be there from commission junction. And sadly that button is linking to my cart and not the affiliate store's cart.

    Make sense?
