Default Re: Add feature for nex rev?

I'm sorry if I am being confusing. Elavon uses the InternetSecure Gateway as a payment gateway, in addition to VirtualMerchant. IS uses the InternetSecure Merchant Link Payment Module for ZenCart, and it provides the ability to connect with IS's Merchant Link service, which processes the CC for you in the backend (you go to their site to enter CC info).

My tech support person at Virtual Merchant told me that I needed to switch over to that payment module, using the IS gateway to process CCs on their site. She also told me that Elavon was going to discontinue using the InternetSecure service next July, and that I would have to plan accordingly.

    Hence this post.

    HOpe that clears it up.

    Jim

It sounds like that's what you're saying, but I'm not familiar with the terms you are using.

Default Need help with Virtual Merchant module US & Canada

We have a Zen Cart store that is based in the US which is where the majority of our sales originate. I have been using the VMEPM 1.2 successfully for US orders. We do get some customers trying to order from Canada but their CC transactions are rejected. I saw the Canada only patch on this thread but I need to properly accept orders from both countries.

Please advise on what the issues are and if there is a way to resolve them.

    thanks

Ok this mod has been working great for me forever but suddenly I am getting the same old error I had back with earlier set up.

Based on the issue I had a year ago I'll go ahead and state that I have an account # starting with a 5, and user ID and pin # all entered correctly. I am linking to production, with this url:
    https://www.myvirtualmerchant.com/Vi...ant/process.do

No changes have been made within zen cart. I have verified that referrers are set up in myvirtualmerchant.com same as they have been all year.

There was a security audit and upgrade done to my server, however. I am wondering if perhaps that is the issue I am having now. I contacted my web host but wanted to check in here as well ... the current error message is:

    Code:
    #cURL Version: PHPCURL curl 7.19.5 (i686-pc-linux-gnu)OpenSSL/0.9.7a zlib/1.2.3

    Hi Aly,

Well, there were likely a number of "changes" if your web hosting provider made security upgrades (changes) to your webserver. Would your provider be able to provide you with any information as to what specifically was upgraded or patched?

Since your referrer on the Elavon VM web terminal configuration page is still set, does it match something like:

    https://www.your-zen-site.com ?

Did your site DNS name or URL change as a part of the upgrade?

Something must have changed, it's just a matter of figuring out what and how to fix it. It might be worth turning up the debug level within the VMEPG and checking your referrer being transmitted to Elavon to ensure it matches with what you have set in the web terminal settings?

Just a few thoughts for starters?

    Todd

    errorName=HTTP Referrer Invalid
That error is given when you have not registered the domain of your store with your account. For instance if your store site is at www.mystore.com, then you have to register mystore.com in your Virtual Merchant settings. mystore.com is the "HTTP Referrer".

Maybe you were set up to accept the IP address instead of the domain name, and then the IP address is different. Or maybe you were setup using the machine name of your host. I have mine setup to use my domain name, and so it doesn't get affected by upgrades to my host's software.

Anyway, that's what the error is and should get you closer to finding the solution.

Thanks so much for the tips -- as it turned out the culprit was a stray backslash in the config file. The site had been hacked and somehow in the clean-up of files I must have inadvertently mistyped. Was a bit of a challenge to dig through all possibilities and embarrassing to find that the solution was just a dumb mistake. Ah well, live and learn.

    Hello,

I installed this module yesterday and it works great. Very easy to install and configure. Thank you very much!!! While is works great for US customers, it is not working for customers in the UK. I get a response in the log that looks like everything was sumitted correctly, but the response back is error=UNRECOGNIZED_RESPONSE. I do have DCC enabled for my account and everything works great for US customers.

Was anyone ever able to fix this issue?

    Thanks,
    JBrick

Default Need Help With AVS and Virtual Merchant

I just got hit with about $1,200 in fraudulent transactions. I found out the there is no active AVS (address verification) being used by either Virtual Merchant, or by the payment module in ZenCart.

How do I get AVS turned back on? Is there a mod to the module, or is it better to set it up with VM?

Sorry if this is answered elsewhere, but it didn't show up on my search of "AVS" or "Address Verification" in this thread.

    Running ZC 1.3.8a with Super-Orders V2 and VirtualMerchant 1.2.

Seems to be running ok. Checkout completes with Approval and order makes it into Admin.

    Here is my problem...
The order appears as if a payment was not made.
    It does show
PAYMENT METHOD: CREDIT CARD PAYMENT INFORMATION
But, below this it also shows
    NO PAYMENT DATA AVAILABLE

Shouldn't it be giving me the Credit Card Authorization Number next to the payment, or at least down in the Comments section???

And, under the order totals it shows
    Sub-Total: $34.62
    United Parcel Service (Ground): $7.57
    California Tax Rate: $3.03
    Total: $45.22
    Amount Applied: $0.00
    Balance Due: $45.22

It's almost like VM is not telling ZC the order was paid at all.

Can anyone help me with this???

    Thanks!
    Rick
