Adding more products onto a single product page

I've searched the forums and can't seem to find what my client is asking for.

Here is the gist...Buyer wants a widget, but also have 5 or 6 different options added on separately. Not talking about color or size. If buyer wants said widget, but wants to add another option like a bolt, cuplink, etc.

How could this be accomplished? My client also wants the options to have images and descriptions also.

While not actually setting this up as you want I think tht most can be accomplished with attributes. As this is more how they are designed than many try to use them for. The images can be added in the attribute controller at the bottom for one at a time using the "Swatches" insert thing.

Descriptions could be in the main area and theough custom code added to the swatches
