Flash swf files as product images

a couple of my products are animated hats, so I'd like to show 2 images on the product information page and maybe the pop-up as well - one static image, and one animated swf file. However, the only information I can find on adding Flash to Zen Cart is in reference to the header. While I've gotten the hang of the basics, I am relatively new to php and Zen Cart, so I'm uncertain what I need to do to accomplish this. If there's a roadmap out there, I'd be grateful for any assistance...Thanks!

After submitting this question, I received a forwarded post from last month on the same issue. As of that post, swf wasn't possible without significant work. SO, I'd like to alter my question - What about animated gifs? or rotating images in javascript?

What about animated gifs?

Since an animated gif is essentially just another .gif file, it'll work automatically just by uploading the animated .gif as the image.

That's what I thought. But I haven't explored it too much because when I tried loading it normally it took forever and still didn't load.

No bother though, I literally just finished loading what I needed. On a hunch, I created a separate HTML page, imported my Flash file into it, then copied the entire page code to the Product Description in the admin panel. With that, I'm able to easily dictate the size of the flash window, add additional content and still have the static image blow up to full size in the Pop-up. Best of both worlds, and absolutely no work in database or original zen cart files. It was all loaded in the Admin panel. EASY!

Yes, that'll work. Just be sure to NOT paste any HEAD/HTML/BODY tag codes etc into your product description. You *only* want the stuff that normally goes *between* the BODY and /BODY tags. Anything outside that will cause you trouble because Zen Cart auto-generates all the other stuff.

That's what I figured, as it's how I entered other Main page info. However, in this case I just dumped it all in to start with and figured I'd edit it once I had it in the admin panel. When it worked, I went with it. However, I will clean out the unnecessary code now that you bring it up.
