Please Help, template changes

Hey. I was wondering if anyone has 3 matching template files for,

Product Listing
New Products
and Specials

On each of these pages of my Zen Cart site the products are listed in different ways, I want for all three of these listings, for the products to be listed in exactly the same way.

Ok I believe you can change the look of the three pages you're asking by modifying the following pages.

For Product Listing: tpl_tabular_display.php (can be found in the common folder)

For New Products & Specials: tpl_columnar_display.php (can also be found in the common folder)

No! Do not change the tabular display file, you need to change the templates for those pages.

Looks like I'm not fit to give advice heheh. Sorry about that Clarky. Just out of curiosity though, what's wrong with modifying tpl_tabular_display? It worked fine for me so far, but if it's a really bad idea I'll just replace it with the original.

tpl_columnar_display.php, and possibly tpl_tabular_display.php, are used for various kinds of displays and shouldn't be changed without a clear understanding of the consequences.

The best file for editing the details of the product listing is /includes/modules/your_template/product_listing.php.

I had to make a change in tpl_columnar_display.php for some purpose, and I wrapped the change in an if test so it would only be effective on the particular page desired.

If I edit the product_listing.php will this just change the main product listing or the layout for

Product Listing
New Products
and Specials

I think ive found the three files I need, just gotta figure out how to edit them now!
