How do i change this on the defualt template

On the defualt template, theres a blue box that stretches across with a pillar on the leftside stretching out of it. How do i edit/remove this image?

If you're talking about the background image, you can either create a custom template using the override system and upload your own, or you can remove it altogether.

that does help, thanks, but i want to also move that banner placement above where the Home Log in buttons are at the top to underneath the banner. This possible?

alternatively you can right mouse click on the image and choose propeties, this will show you the location of where that image is, then just make a new image and save it as that same name and upload it to the same location.

eg

if when you mouse click it says the image is located at:

your_store/images/logo.gif

just create a new image called logo.gif and upload it to your_store/images/logo.gif

Please do yourself a favor and use the override system. It'll save you lots of heartache later.
