Changing stock levels

Hi Folks,
I've just added two items to my store, and selected "In stock".
However, when I view the items in the store, it has "Out of Stock" beside both of them.
How do I change the stock level for an item?
Or is there something else happening?

Hello, i'm having this issue. i'm not blonde but i don't really understand what i'm doing wrong.

No matter what i do, it still shows as out of stock when i update. I don't actually want to show stock levels on my site...

Can anyone help?

Check your settings on the Configuration ... Stock ...

Do you Track Stock?

Does 0 quantity mean Out of Stock?

If you Track Stock, and hit <= 0 should the Product be set to Out of Stock?

NOTE: setting this to NO does not update those Products currently marked as Out of Stock or products_status = 0 to be products_status = 1

If you have Quantity as >= 1 ... did you try to just turn the Product to In Stock?

NOTE: that is not an automatic feature as many have Product Quantity >= 1 but want the Product to be Out of Stock as in products_status = 0 so that the Product does not show in the shop ...

If you do not wish to display Stock Levels but still wish to track stock, you can do this by just turning off the display of the Stock in the Catalog ... Product Type ... EDIT LAYOUT and turning off the things that you do not wish to see ...
