    cart error PayPal Express Suddenly Doesn't Work!!!

    I have just installed the very latest patch after PayPal Express Module suddenly stopped working and started generating a load of logs via email, and then erroring the transaction.

    So I consulted this form and picked up the last/latest patch, and now it gets stuck in a loop.

    Gets to stage 3 confirm and pay (paypal logo and coupon/gift certificate), then loops back to the begining.

    WHY?

    It worked 2 weeks ago, when I tested it just fine and it stepped through to paypal and back again with no problems. Only issue when it worked was that it flagged up Billing and Shipping does not match warning in Zen Cart, but it took the payment and completed ok.

    What has changed to cause this error and no to make it loop? CURL is on, and the server setting haven't changed since it work.

    It could be several things ... including the changes you made after the errors started happening.

    What specific errors started appearing ? That would be a more logical place to start ... and I'd suggest putting files back to the way they were before you tried to fix the problem. The looping is not normal behaviour and suggests that you've busted something while trying to fix things.

    Fixed it now.

    We did this by installing the standard credit card module, that then gave us the options of either payment and made paypal work. Then we removed the credit card module and PayPal continued to work.

    So some reason though it hasn't logged the last order we did since getting the PayPal Express module running again, and also it is saying in PayPal the the payment status is 'Pending' which is odd.

    Can u help?

    I'm having the looping problem also and I haven't made any changes lately at all. The funny thing is that when I tested it to see what was happening I found that if I signed in on my ZenCart site first and then completed the PayPal payment it works fine, but if I didn't sign in first then it created me as a new customer, took me to PayPal and then looped me back. Never did complete the transaction.

    I haven't had any problems before this with either method and as I said it just began and I haven't changed a thing on the site in weeks except to add new products. I'm stumped. Any suggestions as to where to start looking for the problem?

    I would say it's possibly an issue with PayPal if u haven't changed anything, or maybe you hosting provider has altered something on their server.

    Worth checking first.
