bug Re: Problems with Google Checkout

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but this is the only one I can find on the subject.

My question refers to the original OP's. That is, when I select the Google Checkout radio button at the final stage of checkout and click "Confirm Order"... I am directed back to The Shopping Cart page.

I have disabled the big blue GC button at the foot of the page as I didn't see the point when all payment options are chosen from the radio buttons. The big blue button does go to Google, but how do I get the Confirm Order button to go to GoogleCheckout page when the Google Checkout Radio Button has been selected?

I'm having this same issue. I've copied the gc tpl files into the templates folder of Cherry Zen. When I overwrite everything the option to use GC completely disappears.

But now when I try to finish the order, it kicks me back to the first shopping cart page??? Can anyone give some pointers where to change?

I too am trying to get Google Checkout to work as a payment option on the checkout_payment page.

I was able to get a radio button on the payment options section by modifying the template that would successfully take you to the confirmation page.

However at the confirmation page, when the customer clicks on the confirm button, they are sent back to the shopping cart instead of to Google Checkout.

I have been told that Google Checkout is set up to be a Checkout option and NOT a Payment option.

There is bound to be a way to make this work the way PayPal does as a payment option.

I realize this is a very old thread, but I am having the same problem, it just loops back to the shopping cart after confirming the order. I think that the template files are in the wrong place, but if I remove them from "default" and move them to the "classic" folder (which is the template being used), there's no option for google checkout at all....the radio button disappears, and there Ive never seen the big Google CheckOut button everyone has mentioned at all. I've tried every solution I've seen, and nothing works. Does anyone have any NEW ideas? Any help is appreciated.
