How do I add divs to the templates?

Hello,

ZenCart 1.3.7, MySQL 5.2.1

I am trying to determine the best way to add a new div underneath my logo. The page currently has the top navbar, the logo, and then content. I want it to look like this.

Which file do I modify? I am more than comfortable with PHP, HTML, and CSS, I just need to know which file contains the code. Please let me know if I my description is unclear.

Try the tpl_header.php - be sure you are using the custom override.

Thank you very much. I got side tracked on another project. The tpl_header was correct.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong because my image isn't showing up....

EDIT: NM...It helps to put the ; in the CSS....DUH!
