    red flag Newsletter Subscribe

    I hope somebody can help.
I have just uploaded "Newsletter subscribe2.0 and 2.06"
When I goto the shop/admin page. I get the following message:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare transfer_subscriptions() (previously declared in /usr/www/users/telesc/shop/admin/includes/functions/extra_functions/subscription_manager.php:77) in /usr/www/users/telesc/shop/admin/includes/functions/extra_functions/subscription_manager.php.bak on line 24
    Please help.

The extra_functions directory is a self loading directory ...

It is seeing the backup file and loading it too ...

Delete that and it should correct the error ...

I got a few more problems still to resolfe.

    1. I am sitting on Zen Cart v1.3.5/v1.3.5 and cannot upgrade via the "Check for update" button. (Your version of Zen Cart™ appears to be current.)

    2. I have just installed Newsletter Subscribe v2.0.6 and cannot find the sidebox for the Newsletter in tools/Layout Boxes Controller. Am I doing something wrong?

Any help will be greatly apreciated.

The 'check for updates' button doesn't upgrade anything 'automatically' or otherwise unfortunately, or more probably, fortunately (says he, never having actually tried it). I believe it simply directs you to the download. Firstly, check Tools-Server Info in admin to see what the database thinks your current versions are.
If you are indeed on 1.3.5, download the latest version, check the upgrade info there, and the FAQ's, tutorials, and the forum here for any gotchas, and then plan accordingly.

On the Newsletter Subscribe side, there are a couple of folders called 'your_template' in the install. Are you sure they've all been renamed to the name of the template you are using?
