Replacing images

I have created an item on my site that consists of an image that shows the item I'm selling without a background.

I have since found a better picture of the same item but with a nice background and can't seem to be able to have the updated picture show on the site.

I've even looked on the remote side with dreamweaver and removed the image that was there and then FTP's the replacement image to the same location.
Problem is, the original image keeps showing up, not the one with the nice backgroun.

I've also tried to remote the item and re-create it. I've also told the system to overwrite the image. None of these seem to work.

What am I doing wrong please?
