How To Pass Search Keywords To metatags.php

Could someone tell me how I can pass a users search keywords (KEYWORD_FORMAT_STRING ????) to the metatags.php. I would like to make the advanced_search_results a little more friendly. Would I need to create a new global variable to catch it and how would I do that?
