Adverts/Sponsor images in Side Boxes

I had a look on http://(sorry, site offline) and found a great template to start playing with.
I use Firefox mostly and check IE rendering as I go.
I noticed that apart from one sashbox advert on the side, none of the other ads appeared in firefox, but they all appear fine in IE.
I thought I had messed something up so went back to the original site and It had the same behaviour. Is this a known issue? or do I need to set something?

No known issue there- set up your site and make sure things are working on your server.

Ok. I am a little way off putting anything online yet, but I am a little concerned as even the samples on this site (which is online): http://(sorry, site offline)/137/ind...Slovak_Classic
Demonstrate the IE v Firefox issue of the ads not displaying in firefox.
I have ordered the Zen Cart manual, so maybe that might help, but I guess that is a week or so from arriving.

I worked it out.
For the benefit of anyone else who may come across this issue, the ads that DO NOT SHOW in Firefox are all Gifs.
The Jpg ads DO SHOW in Firefox ok.
Hmmm. Not sure why that may be, if anyone can enlighten me, I'd be interested to know. But at least knowing the Gif issue, I can work around that!
