    Default Problem with "password forgotten" function

    Hello,

    Since I upgraded to the last zen-cart version, I can not use the "password forgotten" fonction anymore (on the client's side). Every time someone tries to click on that link, he is just redirected on the same login page, and no email is sent.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    sanji

    That's likely a result of some files not being upgraded properly or not being uploaded properly.

    Sometimes files get missed while upgrading. A careful review of all files vs masters may help reveal inconsistencies.

    Sometimes FTP programs experience timeouts while uploading and thus files need to be uploaded again.

    help question Re: Problem with "password forgotten" function

    I re-uploaded all files, but still it is not working... I checked also the files that are related to this function, and I could find no significant differences with the reference files of a blank install.

    I have absolutely no idea what is happening.

    The strange thing is that when I click on the "Password forgotten" link, the page refresh, ansd comes back to the same page (with empty fields). All other emails are working fine, though... And all customers have the same problem.

    I followed all recommendations found on this forum, like selecting false for "Recreate Session", but no difference!

    If anyone has any idea, I will try any suggestion...

    Thanks,

    sanji

    I still have this problem...

    I re-installed all files, some of them being modified, but with no success :

    www.sogival.com/~ilot20/index.php always reloads the same page when I click on the password forgotten link...

    However, if after I clicked on that link, I normally log in my account, the first page to welcome me is the... password forgotten one, which appears ONLY when I am logged in.

    On my store, only logged in members can browse through the prices. Could this be the problem? Not sure of that, though, as setting the option to "Customer must be approved to shop - 0= Not required" does not solve the problem...

    Any hint would be appreciated. Which are the functions that could block the access to the password_forgotten file?

    Do you have your site set to require customer logins in order to see anything?
    If so, try letting "everyone" browse, and see if the password-forgotten page works properly.

    Thanks for your answer. Yes I do have this option selected, but all other options :

    Customer must be approved to shop
    0= Not required
    1= Must login to browse
    2= May browse but no prices unless logged in
    3= Showroom Only

    give the same problem.

    But once I am connected, I can access the following link, which is then working :
    http://www.sogival.com/~ilot20/index...ion_login=true

    There is an issue right now with the settings ... this has been fixed for Zen Cart v1.3.8 ... and there is a thread posted today with the changes required that should work in the meanwhile, but I forget off hand where that is ...

    Nope ... I actually posted code ... at least I think I posted code somewhere on this ...

    See if a search on:
    init_customer_auth.php

    Helps you locate it ...

    I could have lost my mind ... it is something I miss most as I get older ...

    Unfortunately, no hit on this string this year... except for this exact thread.
