Default bugger what have I done

    http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=76936
I tried to set up an override and now I have lost my site as it was which was half done but at least the main part was how I liked it. Cant find where the back up went to and now it is all up the shoot.

I cant work out what to change in the style sheet to get it all back and now I mut have overridden even the initial template aswell.

If I delete the template file and redown load it will it put me back to the beginning to start again ? as it was more how I liked the colour scheme etc

cheers for any help you cna give - dont think I can put up a link due to it showing under construction by my webhost due to the issues I am having setting it up.

    cheers

Was all in blues and now I have pinks and alsorts arrrghhhhhh

    Hi,

Did you remember to copy the css you were working with to your new template css folder?

All the files you created for your custom template would typically be in folders named according to said template.
All other files would typically be just the default core Zen Cart files.

Thus, all the work you've done should be still sitting on your PC in those custom folders.

If you've not been removing or editing any of the original files on the server, then you should be able to revert back to "original" by simply deleting your custom-template folders from the server ... perhaps one at a time until things work "right" again ... or at least "more right".

Granted, if you'd share a URL, someone just might be able to help tell you what's going wrong.

thanks for the advise - I deleted Zen cart altogether and redownloaded it and the template I was using and have got it all back to where I was but am far too scared to try the override again just yet. However once I can get rid of the stuff that came automatically on the main front page ie as per the pic attached - bit small but best I could do - then I will have another go when I can relax a little more. I can also then provide a link for help because I can have my hosting provide remove the under construction. cheers

    1. Go to Admin->Tools->Define Pages Editor
    2. Choose define_main_page from the pulldown
    3. Change/Remove the image link and/or any other text you want to change, and submit your changes.
