It is possible to hide a category yet still keep it active. We are trying to build a popular products category that does not have a link in the categories section. It must stay active so we can link to it from other pages/text within our site.

i just tried this mod on my store and i was curious if anyone had a way of hiding individual items?, i was thinking i could just have a catagory of hidden items, but i had hoped to not bother with that
