    Default 1064 error cartupgrade_exceptions

While trying to load my zen cart I get this error: 1064 you have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MYSQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'cartupgrade_exceptions' at line 1. I am totally a novice at all of this and am not sure what I need to do to correct this problem. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What version of Zen Cart are you trying to install?
Why are you using a table-prefix? Is there a specific need for one? If not, try leaving it blank instead (ie: skip using "cart")

i am installing the zen cart 3.7.1-full patched. Where would I delete using cart? again I am totally green. I thought this zen cart/ template would be a easy solution for my e-commerce store, I'm finding it a little more difficult than I expected.

Downloaded the zen cart onto my hard drive- unziped the file - moved the files to my web site by the FTP program and ran the install. Everything was fine until after the questions about my SQL database was answered and then this error popped up.

Okay -- then ... what I mentioned earlier about the "table prefix" being "cart" ..... Do you see on the "database setup" screen (the one you said asked about your SQL settings) where the "table prefix" is asked for (2nd field)? You'll note that it says if you don't need to use one, don't. Just leave it blank.

    What happens then ?
