Removing green header at the top of my page

I'm not sure the css will do it. ZC out of the box has the green header at the top of the page with home & login links on the left side and the search box on the right side. I can change the text for the home or login links as well as remove the header search box but I cant make the whole thing disappear- links, green header and all. That is what I'm looking for.

If you are wanting to completely remove that stuff, you can edit the "main page" template and comment them out.

I had to play with the tpl_header and css. It still has too much space around it in Firefox but looks good otherwise.

No problem. Once you understand the basic structure of ZenCart, its pretty easy to figure out where things are controlled.. with a little time.

Remember when you're making these template changes, do NOT change the default Classic template -- create your own template using the override system, install it, and make the changes there. Otherwise, the next update will erase all your changes.

You can remove/change the background images in the stylesheet.css file. I highly recommend using the Firefox browser with the Firebug plug-in installed. Then you can find exactly the line in your css you need to change.
