Product info question

I am working in British Pounds. In order for me to have £5.99 I have to type in 11.32 is there any reason why? How can I rectify this problem?

Also - I have checked the box for iten IN STOCK. Yet when trying out purchase there are none in stock.

Any help would be appreciated.

Resolved the first problem...

Anyone else who has this prob - go into admin>localization>currencies

select your required default then edit it. Change the value to 1.

In my case I will have to now edit US Dollar to the appropriate value.

Still having the not in stock problem though and haven't found any threads to help.

Sorted now thanks anyway...simple solution as I knew it would be. I missed the quantity box directly beneath product description when filling in the initial form. I have put 1 in this box. No problems now.
